Travel Enrichment: Current Design with Kravet in New York; Design Trust, Ltd. Symposium in Charleston, SC

Corinne loves enrichment from travel

and recently took two trips to stay current on design innovations because she wants the best for her clients. Corinne was an Honored Invitee to Kravet* in New York City, where she visited the Kravet Archives, their Showroom and their Design Studio in celebration of their 100 year anniversary.

Corinne viewed and handled fabric and textile samples dating from 2 BC. She and the other invitees also gave input on Kravet's new collections that are in process, and were entertained and inspired by A-list designer Alexa Hampton. Corinne was comforted to find that when meeting with another A-lister, Bunny Williams, her design studio had projects strewn across tables and it was beautiful.

Then on to Charleston, South Carolina where Corinne attended the Southern Style Now Design Festival, where she heard the inimitable designer Miles Redd discuss his inspiration and toured the Traditional Home Magazine's Showhouse.

Next in Charleston,

Corinne attended the Fall 2018 Design Trust, Ltd.** Symposium, where she was elected to the Board of Directors. Members shared best practices in the design business, listened to an expert on Smart Home Innovation and LED technology, and heard fellow member Sarah Eilers discuss buying and incorporating antiques into their designs.

The group also toured historic homes with the Preservation Society of Charleston, and toured The Urban Electric Co. factory and studio. Finally, Design Trust, Ltd. toured the fabulous American College of Building Arts, which educates and trains artisans in traditional building arts with a liberal arts education. What an impressive College!

Corinne has a vast network of design friends. Sharing information and inspiration, along with a cocktail or two, is her idea of a great time!
