What Our Clients Say That Matters

Skiing Down Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes, CA

I made a choice long ago to live in the mountains. It was not because I wanted to be on a perpetual ski vacation, although I was a ski bum for a short while. At a point, I made a decision to re-enter the “real” world and, as luck would have it, there was an architecture firm hiring in Mammoth Lakes. I was able to work in the field that I had studied in college and from there moved on to an Interior Design firm. During the thirty-plus years since that decision, I came to own my own firm and have been fortunate to pursue my passion for design in a locale and lifestyle that have become deeply ingrained in me – where the mountains and skiing are not just hobbies but integral parts of who I am. I feel blessed to steal away for a few hours and ski, experiencing the joy of being in the moment in incredible beauty. It is different aspect of myself that is less complicated.

I’ve spent the last decade honored to have been recognized as a top interior designer. But rather than dwelling on my experience, credentials and accolades I prefer to let my work speak for itself. What it boils down to is either you resonate with my work, or you don’t.

I believe we all need to experience that pause as our lives become more complicated, in a way or a place that “otherness” can be experienced. It is where you can be naturally playful, kind, patient and reflective. All those parts of you that can get buried dealing with normal life.

Could another setting or home allow you to embrace another part of yourself? Would a home in the mountains, or by a lake or at the desert allow you to relax into that “other” aspect of yourself? What does that look and feel like? A little bit of respite? Sanctuary? What I am talking about is not about going on vacation. It is also not about just a vacation home. It is about creating a place where you choose to be other, because you can.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

Our surroundings reflect personal values and priorities and for me, that means nature must be respected and integrated into our lives and homes to achieve a timeless resonance. Longevity is best achieved through craftsmanship and quality. Our clients are the kind of people who share this ethos. They are not mere consumers; rather, they value depth in design from which true beauty can emerge. Without this depth, beauty remains superficial. We design for individuals who appreciate a world where beauty endures.

Trust that I am here to help you to create the harmoniously designed environment that can soothe your soul. If tapping into this otherness of yourself requires being in natural surroundings, and if you appreciate high-touch, quality, and beauty, we will work well together.  Working with my firm makes the experience as straightforward and enjoyable as possible for you, as my team shares my vision of creating remarkably beautiful, singular environments for our clients using the extensive local and global resources we have developed.

From the moment of our initial meeting, know that that your project is forming as a potential world in my mind and everything I read and see from that point on will become considered and possibly chosen to be catalogued into a folder on my desktop with your name on it. What remains for me is to marry who you and your family are to that vision. I am always looking for just a few great projects over which I can obsess. My aim isn’t quantity: it’s the pursuit of transformative work for individuals whose values align with mine, to create a home that will be cherished and enjoyed for years to come. I can’t wait to hear from you.
