We are very proud of our project at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. We hope you agree that the kitchen is unique and beautiful. Please read below to discover the design elements that make this project special. If you would like to vote to support us please click this link
The blown glass pendants have a ”water drip” under the light and that drip theoretically creates ripples on the bottom of the pendant that then reflects on the counter. The glass fish are swimming through the effect. The glass of the pendants turns color based on the time of day.
The pendants are blue later in the day and the fish are appropriately swimming in front of the lake.
The white limestone was locally sourced was used extensively on the exterior, I brought it onto interior walls that are contitguous with the exterior and also on the second island facing into the Living Area to make the kitchen flow more easily with tliving area. The Neolith works as a good partner with the stone in keeping the kitchen light and the hood feeling airy.
Rather than drop a ceiling over the kitchen, the open truss system delineates the kitchen area and maintains a light and open feeling. Monopoint lights are placed on the open beams to direct lighting closer to work surfaces. White oak is used on the ceiling, flooring all millwork and the cabinetry which feels contemporary and keeps the overall project warm yet bright.
A butlers pantry right behind the range wall supplies an additional freezer, refrigerator, double ovens and wine cooler. This allowed us to keep the kitchen feeling as bright and open and clutter free as possible, corralling the small appliances and adding lots of additional storage.
We will be sharing more pictures of this fun project in future newsletters.
