Ms. Brown is an experienced interior designer and the owner and principal at Brown Design Group in Mammoth Lakes, California. In business since 1997, she has contributed to a wealth of residences and, over the past ten years, has focused her projects mainly on substantial high-end residential and vacation homes throughout the country in places like New York City, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, San Francisco, Manhattan Beach, California, Idaho and beyond.
A person of high integrity, Ms. Brown's extensive expertise in interior design has garnered her a comprehensive portfolio of work throughout her career. Her visionary approach has been instrumental, and she strives to remain ahead of the curve. Among her most significant achievements, Ms. Brown notes a recent project, Mountain Magnificent, which spanned seven years and included meticulous design details and unique elements.
Ms. Brown frequently attends shows and events in the design sector to remain aware of developments and new trends. She also focuses on establishing meaningful relationships with her peers and fellow interior designers, which has been paramount to the success of her business. Active in her community, Ms. Brown has been affiliated with the National Park Foundation, the Mono Lake Committee, the University of California Santa Barbara Natural Reserve System, Habitat for Humanity, and the Foundation for International Community Assistance. She has also been active with the Valentine Eastern Sierra Reserve which has been devoted to environmental research and educating the youth about the natural environment.
Ms. Brown studied at the University of California at Los Angeles. During her studies, she had the pleasure of being mentored by Tim Vreeland, a prominent architect. Mr. Vreeland left a remarkable impact on her and introduced her to influential women in the design industry. Well-qualified in her field, Ms. Brown holds certification as an interior designer through the California Council for Interior Design.
Active in her professional community, Ms. Brown has been a Professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers since 1994. She also serves as the President of Design Trust Ltd,. Based in New York City, Design Trust Ltd. is a nonprofit association of interior designers dedicated to sharing their expertise with others in a peer-to-peer environment. All members are principals of their firms.
In light of her success, Ms. Brown was featured in the Gold List in Luxe Magazine in 2019 and in Mountain Living Magazine's Top Mountain Architects and Designers list every year between 2019 and 2023. She was also a finalist in the Andrew Martin Interior Design Competition in 2023.
